同時，為了追求心中的籃球夢，元大鷹繼承了死去的奶奶所收藏的一顆金線籃球（奶奶鐵蘭唯一的遺物），按照奶奶的遺願離鄉前來投靠霹靂大學校長李子平的父親。基於李子平父親的遺言交代，李子平收留了元大鷹，大鷹因而也成了李贏的第一名社員。

獲得全國大專聯賽最佳 MVP的天才明星球員----東方翔，竟然從不敗的籃球名校玄武工學院轉到霹靂大學來了！東方翔的出現，在霹靂大學內引起轟動，原因除了他風光的籃球經 歷，還有他出眾的外型與不凡的家世背景（東方集團總裁的獨子），再加上他高中時曾獲得全國學科競賽優選的優異表現，他的出現帶來一陣旋風！

而大鷹在進入霹靂後也結識了成績優異的保送資優生 ----湛潔兒，因潔兒的長相讓大鷹想起兒時玩伴－咕咕雞。因移情作用大鷹對潔兒有著莫名的好感，但潔兒同時也是東方翔家中司機的女兒，兩人之間也有著青 梅竹馬的曖昧情愫，三人在霹靂命運的交會，也注定會改寫霹靂球隊的歷史…
